Artist's Description
Born the oldest child of a multicultural union, of two painters in the late 1950's, Jaeme inherited her many talents from both sides of the family. Her father's side included old radio musicians; Grandmother sang backup for Judy Garland. Jaeme's mother's family, although staunchly German, had roots in the arts and crafts of the 20's and 30's. Jaeme attended and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1981, in Fine Art, with the world renowned Peter Volkous. Jaeme has worked on several projects, including a book cover for a memoir for the Carlos Santana family, entitled, "Space Between the Stars", by Deborah Santana, Carlos' now ex-wife, and is sold nationally in Barnes and Noble. Along with other pieces the book covers can be viewed in the Portfolio section of her website. The children's book, "In Her Hands, The Story Of Sculptor Augusta Savage" and "The Tomato Story" are available for sale and more information can be found in the Work for Sale section, also on Jaeme's website. Jaeme now resides...

Retro shows nostalgia with a dose of cynicism and...
